Inspired by the classic B & B liqueur, this spirit-forward cocktail is perfect for the cognac From the Roots Craft Cocktailconnoisseur. When crafting the From the Roots cocktail, I find that Benedictine and Aperol complement the delicate favor profit of Pierre Ferrand Cognac. The herbal sweet flavor of Benedictine softens the heat of the cognac while the Aperol and bitters counter the sweet. This cocktail is perfect for enjoying before a meal or on its own.

2 oz Pierre Ferrand Cognac

¾ oz Benedictine

½ oz Aperol

3 Dashes Fee Brothers Rhubarb Bitters

Lemon Peel
Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass, cover with ice and stir

until well chilled. Then, strain liquid into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a lemon peel.
